Established in 1989, the California Centers for International Trade Development (CITD) are funded by the Chancellor’s Office of the State of California to promote the state’s international trade and competitiveness, assist exporters and importers, and advance economic and job growth. The CITDs assist California business to expand internationally as well as help colleges become more globalized.
The CITDs have been the recipient of three (3) Presidential “E-Awards” for Export Service Excellence (2001, 2011 and 2013), and have successfully implemented projects/grants from U.S. Department of Commerce, the U.S. Department of Labor, US Agency for International Development, U.S. Department of State, U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Small Business Administration.
As part of the CITD network, the Orange County Center for International Trade Development (OC CITD) is an economic/workforce development program hosted at Rancho Santiago Community College District (RSCCD) supporting businesses through industry specific education, training and international trade services. OC CITD offers export, import and FDI assistance as well as international market opportunities, market research, specialized training as well as other resources. Additionally, the OC CITD works closely with education to help globalize curriculum and prepare students to be successful in our global economy.
